TIPM INSTRUCTIONS

TIPM Installation Instructions - AUTO101

⚠️ CRITICAL - READ FIRST

Read everything before installing to avoid issues.

🔧 STEP 1 – PREP VEHICLE

  • Turn off ignition
  • Remove key

Wait 5 full minutes

🔋 STEP 2 – DISCONNECT BATTERY

  • Disconnect negative (-) battery terminal first
  • Then disconnect positive (+)
  • Zip tie both terminals together to reset the car's memory
  • Wait for five minutes

🔧 STEP 3 – REMOVE OLD TIPM

  • Unbolt TIPM if needed
  • Unplug all connectors (don't force anything)
  • Keep track of any clips or brackets

🔧 STEP 4 – INSTALL NEW TIPM

  • Plug in all connectors to new TIPM
  • Bolt it down if needed
  • Double-check all plugs are fully seated

🔋 STEP 5 – RECONNECT BATTERY

  • Connect positive (+) first
  • Then connect negative (-)
  • Tighten terminals

🚨 STEP 6 – SOFT RESET (IMPORTANT)

Do this reset exactly after installation:

  1. Put key in and turn to ON (don't start)
  2. Leave ON for 3–5 minutes
  3. Turn key OFF, remove it
  4. Wait 1 full minute
  5. Start the car

🔍 TROUBLESHOOTING

  • TIPM not responding? Do the Soft reset again (You may need to repeat this process several times.)
  • Wipers, radio, or lights acting up? Check connections and battery terminals
  • Still issues? Message us
